Oak Statue Of The Virgin Mary & Child Circa 1480 This early oak statue dates to the Late 15th Century. Detailed carving depicting a crowned and robed Virgin Mary holding Jesus in one arm and a fig in the opposite hand. A rare three-quarter life size image - both beautiful and imposing.

This rare walnut Bargueno is constructed from solid walnut and decorated with gilded and pierced metal ornamentation behind which is red faded silk and fitted with a spectacular lock, gothic tower hasp and key all original.
