16th Century Fresco

A rare 16^th century fresco depicting the Biblical scene of Judith handing the head of Holofernes to her maid. This fresco was originally in a chateau in the Aveyron France undergoing extensive renovation thus me being able to acquire it. The fresco is painted on a gesso background which is applied to a thick stone wall rear which has been cut out and enclosed in a solid wooden frame. This is a rare survivor.
